The Ground Rules

According to the All Fifty Club, to count a state you must set foot on the ground of that state and breathe the air. This rules out airport layovers and flyovers. We follow this guideline, plus a few of our own.

• Only states visited together are included in the count
• A minimum of 1 intentional activity must take place for a state to count (rest area/gas station stops do not count)
• Don’t overcrowd the itinerary just to check a box; give experiences the time they need to be appreciated
• Trips must be researched and planned together
• Empower each other to seek and follow interests
• Be open to trying new things
